The Running Room Club Update:

Hello everyone!
In this past week, all our clinics made it up and
running (ha-ha!). After a relaxed couple of weeks
between clinics, we now have gads of runners and oodles
of walkers. When you come out to Practice Club this
week, you will see a whole bunch of new people out
walking and running – it seems like everyone
wants to take advantage of the great summer weather.
Tip of the week:
Focus on having fun and enjoying each run (or walk).
If you are new to running/walking and honest in your
response you may say that it hurts and is not enjoyable.
Well, for those of you, be patient. Generally, it
takes about 8 to 10 weeks for our bodies to become
conditioned enough for the minor aches and pains we
have in the beginning to go away. You can then start
to enjoy your running/walking and have fun. To start
with in the early part of your journey, try to find
a buddy to run/walk with. Having a friend to run/walk
with will help you distract yourself from the physical
process and provide you with the motivation to continue.
