Are you a runner
in Pain....if so this may be for you!!!!!
If you are any type of runner who has logged
considerable amount of miles I am sure you have struggled with
the pain and frustration of trying to heal yourself and get yourself
back running, healthy and strong. There is a new and exciting
alternative in Sudbury for runners who are experiencing this pain
and frustration.
Low Intensity Laser Therapy is a relatively
new therapy in Canada. It was introduced in the mid 80's from
Europe with significant success. It works at regenerating the
body at a cellular level using the body’s own natural healing
properties to heal itself. It is a pain free alternative and has
the ability to replace drug therapy and other therapies to deal
with the pain of injury.
It has been clinically tested and proven
to be effective at reducing pain and healing such conditions as:
Tendonitis
IT Band Inflammation
Bursitis
Arthritis
Herniated Disks
Muscle Tears
Strains
Sprains
Tennis Elbow and many more.
This therapy is being used by the Toronto
Raptors and numerous other professional sports teams, as they
want to ensure their athletes are back playing at a high level
as soon as possible.
If you are looking for a pain free, drug
free way of dealing with running related issues, please contact
Mission Wellness. Mission Wellness is a Low Intensity Laser Therapy
Company created by two runners who knew the pain and frustration
of being on the sidelines. If you want to learn more about Mission
Wellness and Low Intensity Laser Therapy, please contact Rick
MacKenzie at rick@missionwellness.ca
or see our website at www.missionwellness.ca
Mission Wellness is located at:
McCue Chiropractic and Wellness Centre
2037 Long Lake Road, Unit 5

| Vince adds: A couple of Rocks!! runners
have experimented with the Low Intensity Laser Therapy with
positive results |

Club Update |
Hi Everybody!!
Welcome to all of the clinics that are beginning this week!
We are looking forward to running and walking with you over
the next ten to sixteen weeks, and are sure that everyone is
going to have a great time.
We want all our RUNNING AND WALKING BUDDIES to join us for our
clinics next week. That’s right, it’s like every
night next week is Practice Club! You can come on out and meet
our fabulous instructors, get some great information on shoes
and running or walking healthy and then head out for some activity.
Check out our clinic listings below for dates and times.
Product highlight:
For those of you who have been anticipating the next model of
your favorite shoe, the wait is over! We’ve received lots
of new shoes for you to come in and try. Here are a few:
Saucony Progrid Triumph 5 - The Progrid Triumph 5 will have
responsive cushioning for the neutral runner. This shoe will
have a plushfirst fit and offer one of the smoothest rides.
Mizuno Wave Creation 9 - Infinity Wave Tecnology utilizes 30%
less foam than previous models resulting in more durable cushioning,
better rebound and an exceptional ride.
Asics Kinsei 2 - The Gel Kinsei 2.. can the best get better?
YES. How? Starting with the upper they have added a new material
called Cuprothermo which uses a nano scale film which will keep
the foot cool in hot conditions and warm in cold conditions.
There have also been some changes to the lacing in that Asics
have gone to asymmetrical lacing which will move more efficiently
with the foot and reduce irritation. The new addition of the
Propulsion Trusstic has created a seamless integration of the
I.G.S. which means a smoother transition and better cushioning.
The exposed gel in the heel and forefoot will ensure great impact
protection mile after mile.
Asics 2130 - Consistency. This is what you can come to expect
from the Asics 2000 series shoes. The latest installment of
the 2000 series does not fail to please with its continued great
fitting and breathable upper and great gel cushioning in the
heel and forefoot. This shoe will continue to have a smooth
transition from heel to toe by using the I.G.S. (impact guidance
system) and will also have great support with the DuoMax support
system for that mild to moderate pronator. The GT-2130 has the
perfect blend of support and cushion to meet the needs of runners
who are just starting out and for those long time veterans of
the sport.
Asics 1130 - Great value and great features all wrapped up into
one package. The new Gel-1130 continues to offer some great
comfort enhancing features such as the open mesh upper to keep
the shoe breathable and your foot dry, or how about the gel
cushioning system that has been placed in the forefoot and heel
to reduce some of the impact forces. Basically this shoe has
a lot of awesome feature jammed packed into it and is great
for short runs and long runs alike.
Tip of the week:
"...Your torso is along for the ride; by running erect
you will stay relaxed and keep your breathing more efficient.
Doing so will divert the energy into the driving muscles of
your legs. Tighten your abdominal muscles and clench the cheeks
of your butt to maintain core strength and balanced posture."
-John Stanton

Indoor Track
Begins
The first indoor track workout will be this
Monday January 7th - we'll meet at Lockerby Secondary School
in the hallway outside the wrestling room (on the gymnasium
level at the opposite end of the hallway).
Time of practices will be 4:45 and we'll go Wednesdays and
Fridays as well.
This Monday Jan 7th may be a little confusing, as we get
our facilities and equipment together. So if you want to
hold off until Wednesday, that's fine.
